The Alice Nightdress in Buttermilk Yellow is a nod to Harling’s tongue-in-cheek styling strategy of dressing like a “stick of butter.” In addition to its vintage inspired silhouette and 3/4 length, the nightie is made from midweight cotton cambric with an exceptionally pretty gathered neckline woven through with grosgrain ribbon and edged with contrasting white embroidery.
The single fastening button allows the nightgown to be worn open with a deeper neckline or fastened and tied with the ribbon. The Alice is finished off with the same distinct embroidered hem as the Harling nightie from the collection, with white thread to contrast beautifully against the Buttermilk fabric. She matches perfectly with the headscarf.

Washing instructions:
• Wash cold with similar colours using a gentle detergent and on a low spin
• Dry flat - please do not tumble dry
• Your nightdress will get softer with every wash.
Please note that all International orders will be subject to import VAT and duties, which we do not cover.
These costs are the sole responsibility of the customer and payable on receipt of goods. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount so we therefore advise you to check your country’s duty and customs tax costs (via your country’s government website) before placing your order, as these must be paid before the items are released for delivery.
All International orders are signed for. If you are not going to be in when delivery is due please update your delivery options (arrange another time for your parcel to be delivered) using the tracking number on your order.
Please note that all orders shipped to the United States valued at up to $800 will not be subject to import duties or taxes upon arrival.

Suzi J This is such a beautiful nightie. There is a lovely attention to detail, from the pretty ribbon trimmed neckline to the gorgeous embroidered hem. It’s a little more opaque than the voile nighties but you would probably need a slip if wearing as a dress. Can’t wait for the warmer weather to enjoy it to the full.
